What it does

Helen lives between the UK and Spain, and both countries count her days in a different way. The UK counts the nights she sleeps there, over a tax year that starts on 6 April, and how many she may have depends on her UK ties. Spain counts every day she is there at all, over the calendar year, up to 183. For years this lived in a spreadsheet. Whereabouts does the same job properly: one record per day, both counts worked out from it, and a warning before a plan goes over.

It also answers the two questions people ask most: her team, "is Helen available for work?", and her family, "where will Helen be?". Each sees only the part that is theirs.
